United Auto Workers in Strasburg protested outside of the International Automotive Components plant Wednesday.

The workers spoke out against American jobs being outsourced to foreign countries.

Recently, IAC announced that one of its major programs is moving from the Strasburg plant to Mexico. This is part of the ripple effect felt after General Motors filed for bankruptcy protection.

It means more than 100 local workers will be without jobs.

UAW Local 2999 President Karen Foster has been working at IAC for 21 years and she says the layoffs affect the entire community.

"I just think it's important for everybody in the community to know that for every job lost, it not only affects the family involved, but it affects my ability to pay my taxes," says Foster. "It affects everybody in the community right down to the waitress in the diner."

The protest lasted about three hours. Many of the workers joined the group as they finished their shifts.

When all the good paying jobs are outsourced then no one will be able to afford to buy a house. The rich are trying to destroy the middle class. In the end they may regret it as the poor take up arms and take care of business. Funny haw Honda ,Toyota, and other foreign car companies are putting Americans to work while the so called American companies are destroying American jobs.
