Crash on I-81 Backs Up Traffic in Shenandoah County

Rush hour commuters ran into delays on Interstate 81 North at mile maker 292 near Toms Brook Friday morning.
The left shoulder, left lane and right lane were blocked for less than an hour.
Virginia State Police say a car was going north on 81 around 7:30 a.m. Police say the driver was attempting to change lanes when she lost control and crashed into the median guardrail.
The driver, 33-year-old Brandy Walters of Woodstock, was injured and taken to the Winchester Memorial Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
There is also no word at this time about any charges being filed.
