Since 1912, the town of Elkton has invited its residents out for some good old fashioned family fun.
Hundreds came out to the Elkton Field Day carnival Friday night. They enjoyed some good music and dancing.
Rides were brought in by the same group that does the Rockingham County Fair, so visitors had their choice of thrills.
On Saturday, the Field Day will involved a parade and fireworks.
The event is sponsored by the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics in Elkton. The group gives out scholarships and help for those in need.
