The annual extravaganza kicked off Saturday in Waynesboro.
The fair takes place at the Parks and Recreation Amphitheater where there is free, live entertainment.
A spokesperson for the event says that more people are already in attendance this year than came last year because of a noticeably more full parking lot
Susan Roberts, the Superintendent of Recreation says, "I think it's nice because for the most part it is an opportunity for free entertainment and free activities for your family. So, it is a nice thing that you can do when money is tight all around the board. Just come out to the park and have fun."
The extravaganza runs through July 12 with carnival rides, food and lots of families. It ends with a fireworks show finale.
