The two men accused in a Rockingham County murder case were in court Wednesday, and more details about the case were revealed including the possible murder weapon and an apparent love triangle.

Brian Bingham and Justin Bindel are charged with the death of Michael Tolsdorf, whose body was found near Switzer Dam earlier this year. A detective who took the stand Wednesday says Tolsdorf was shot once in the stomach and once in the back.

A former lover of the victim, Floyd Connolly, and Bingham say he was part of a cover up in the case. Connolly says Bingham and Bindel had been stealing electronics from homes and stores with Tolsdorf and were afraid he would go to police.

Also in court Wednesday, it was revealed that detectives found the alleged murder weapon in Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park during a search last month.

Commonwealth's Attorney Marsha Garst ordered the search of the park's Lake Tams. A long gun, that was also stolen, was found.

Charges against Bindel and Bingham were certified to a Rockingham County grand jury.
