More layoffs could be coming at one Waynesboro plant.

An employee at the Mohawk flooring plant in Waynesboro says up to 40 workers will be laid off by Friday.

The employee says management met Monday to discuss the reductions, which will be added to layoffs that occurred in January. Those earlier layoffs left 75 people without jobs

According to the worker, no management positions are being reduced, but some employees who have worked at the plant for almost 50 years will be let go.

News 3 made numerous phone calls to the plant's corporate office, but the calls were not returned.
