Two more teens have been arrested in Augusta County for breaking into unlocked cars.
Aaron Michael McDaniel and Christopher Joseph Isaksen, both 18, were arrested Thursday for something deputies call "car hopping."
The teens are accused of stealing items from multiple unlocked cars.
Deputy Donald Smith says, "Once we caught them, we launched an investigation because they were of interest to us and developed everything that had gotten us to where we are today."
Both face multiple charges of grand larceny, petit larceny and entering a vehicle. McDaniel also faces charges of destruction of property.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says McDaniel, Isaksen, 19-year-old Derek Jaimison Canniff and a fourth as of yet unidentified suspect were entering vehicles and stealing items out of them to support a drug addiction, not in any gang activity.
Canniff was arrested Wednesday and faces more than three dozen charges that date back to June 2008.
Deputies say vehicles were being broken into in Augusta County, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville. Officials say some of the vehicles were inside garages, but all of them were unlocked.
Smith says, "There were numerous incidents where they actually entered their garage, the garage was left open, the vehicle was left unlocked and they entered the vehicle and stole the purses and wallets out of them."
McDaniel's mother paid bond for him and he was released from custody.
Isaksen is being held in Middle River Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
The sheriff's office is searching for the fourth suspect, but is not releasing that suspect's name at this time.
Several GPS devices were recovered but officials say the young men threw away most of the stolen items.
Deputies say the investigation is still ongoing and more charges are pending against all four suspects.
