The Virginia State Police has created a new tip line specifically for the search for Morgan Harrington.

If you have any information that may help officials find Harrington, you are asked to call 434-352-3467. You can also still send e-mails to bci-appomattox@vsp.virginia.gov.

The 20-year-old Roanoke resident and Virginia Tech student has been missing since attending a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones arena at the University of Virginia Saturday.

It is believed she left the building while trying to find a restroom and, due to a school policy, she was not allowed to reenter the arena. Police say she called a friend between 8:30 and 9 p.m. after she was denied entry.

Police say a passerby found her purse and cell phone in a parking area between the arena and the athletic fields. However, there has been no contact with or from Harrington since she disappeared.

In a press conference Wednesday afternoon, police confirm that Harrington was on the grounds near JPJ until at least 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officers with the UVA Police Department, VSP and the FBI have been searching the area, including areas around Davenport Field, Klockner Stadium and the arena.

A helicopter was used to try to help the search, but because of the foliage on the trees, that search was ended. Search teams using K-9 units were also used.

Police say they have now ended their localized ground search, and they are still treating this as a missing person case. However, they are conducting their search as a criminal investigation.

Police have gotten more than 100 calls from all over the country regarding this case and they are following all the leads from those calls as they can.

Officers from Virginia Tech, James Madison University, the city of Harrisonburg and many others are helping out with the search.

Police say Harrington may have driven her car from Virginia Tech to Harrisonburg, but did not elaborate on this.

According to police, information regarding a reward for information on Harrington's whereabouts will be released Thursday. The family is planning to offer at least $50,000.

Again, if you have any information that may help officials find Harrington, you are asked to call 434-352-3467. This phone line will be manned 24 hours a day. You can also still send e-mails to bci-appomattox@vsp.virginia.gov.

Morgan must have viciously tried to save herself. Was her arm broken? I think we can find this coward. He's a sick and evil loser. I want to do whatever it takes to find her killer. Even if it means going to Virginia myself.
