Voters have overwhelmingly selected Bill Bolling to hold the Lieutenant Governor's office for a second term.
He won with 57 percent of the vote over challenger Jody Wagner's 44 percent.
During a campaign stop this week, McDonnell said he would make Bolling his Jobs Czar if they both were elected.
Bolling is the first lieutenant governor to run for re-election in Virginia, since 1993, and he says Republicans prevailed because they had better plans.
"I am proud of the campaign that we ran. This was a campaign of issues and ideas," says Bolling. "We didn't ask people for their vote or their support by trying to tear anybody down. We asked people for their vote and their support by lifting up our new ideas for a better Virginia."
