Morgan Harrington's parents issued an emotional appeal Wednesday for help in the search for her.

They announced a new search effort that will take place this weekend and they would like the community's help.

The three-day search effort will be coordinated by a Texas-based group that helps to recover missing children. Searchers will get instructions at a meeting at the Cavalier Inn Thursday night.

Morgan's father, Dan Harrington, has promised to not give up the search.

He says, "We will stop at nothing until she is found, and we are eternally grateful for any additional support the community can offer in bringing Morgan home."

Twenty-year-old Morgan disappeared October 17 when she attempted to attend a Metallica concert in Charlottesville with some friends.

She got separated from her friends and was last seen that night on a nearby bridge after 9 p.m.

Morgan's mother, Gil Harrington, spoke directly to her daughter at the Wednesday afternoon press conference.

She says, "Morgan, 2-4-1, be strong. We are trying to find you. We will never stop. We are trying, honey, hang on. And to the person who has taken Morgan from us, please just let her go. She has so much more to live and so much more to give. Please let her come back to her family. We need her."

The Harringtons were joined by Ed Smart at Wednesday's conference. Smart's daughter, Elizabeth, was kidnapped in 2002 and was found by police nine months later.

Virginia State Police say they have received 350 tips so far, and have followed up on every one.

There is a $150,000 reward for information in the Harrington case. Of that reward, $50,000 of it was put up by the band Metallica.
