Myers Enters Plea Deal, Sentenced to Prison
Harrisonburg, Va. A man charged with the first-degree murder of his ex-girlfriend has entered a plea deal and been sentenced to prison.

A man charged with the first-degree murder of his ex-girlfriend has entered a plea deal and been sentenced to prison.
John Franklin Myers of Harrisonburg as charged in the shooting death of Virginia Lynn Ware of Grottoes in September.
As part of the plea deal, the first-degree murder charge was reduced to second-degree murder.
Myers was sentenced to 48 years in prison and three years of supervised release afterward.
The sentence also covers two firearms charges.
