The two people who own a local restaurant-bar are now wanted by authorities.

Warrants were issued for the arrests of Pub owners, William Royer and Terri Life, Monday.

They were indicted on three felony embezzlement charges, a charge of money laundering and several charges of failing to pay the Harrisonburg meals tax.

A magistrate judge will decide whether or not to grant the two bond after they are arrested.

Does anyone remember the Salem Witch Trials?? They say that history often repeats itself--and, knowing Terri personally, this sounds like a witch hunt to me. I don't think she's capable of knowingly laundering money or misappropriating funds. Also, WHY WOULD ANYONE EMBEZZLE FROM THEIR OWN BUSINESS?? Sounds to me like someone is out to close the business at all costs, including the lives of two innocent people. And, I agree with the comments in previous blogs-WHEN DID PEOPLE LOSE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS?? That bartender knew that drinking after hours was not allowed-she had been told. Also, she knew that it was wrong to drive drunk- we've all been told that for years. Why is anyone else responsible for what SHE did? Because we've allowed ourselves to become a society of finger-pointers screaming, "I didn't do it". I hope you will think about this before you respond.

Why don't we just make Harrisonburg a "dry" city, and solve everyone's problems? Oh wait, then everyone would have to find something ELSE to complain about.

I am one the daughters of these two that you was warned might be reading this. You are ignorant oh so ignorant. FED UP I have had enough of you. How do you have time to run your business when you are sitting here trying to belittle these two all day everyday. I see more of your post then anyone elses. Maybe you are just pissed off because you were a friend of Sherri's and I don't care what your reason may be. But enough is enough. THEY DID NOT KILL SHERRI!!! So what you don't like them but that doesn't make them criminals. They do not belong behind bars just because and ex bartender ran over someone, Bess wasn't on the clock when she did. This is not even about Sherri or Bess, this is an issue about a bookkeeping error. So get over it already. Even if they go to jail, it will not bring Sherri back no matter how pissed off you are. If they go to jail you won't be happy because the taxes you pay for your 'business' will be supporting them the entire time they are in there. So now what?
