A national poll reveals how widespread "sexting" is among young people. More than 25 percent of teens and young adults say they've done it.
"Sexting" is basically where people share sexually explicit photos or videos on their cell phones or online.
An 18 year old in Virginia faced child pornography charges related to "sexting."
The Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth started teaching teens about the consequences of "sexting" last year.
"These kids are trying to make adult choices. They're not thinking it through. They're not looking at what could happen in the next hour, much less what could happen in the next six months," says Ginny Newman, a division supervisor for the Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth.
In at least a couple of cases, "sexting" has even been linked to suicide. The poll was conducted for the Associated Press and MTV.
