The Marching Royal Dukes are preparing for a new era in Virginia.
Early Saturday morning, band members will head to Virginia's State Capital to march in Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell's inaugural parade.
Forty-six other groups from Virginia are scheduled to participate including the Virginia Women's Institute for Leadership and the 116th Combat Brigade team out of Staunton.
The parade will begin after the swearing-in ceremony.
"It's a rush because there's so much going on this week on campus with the school musical and concerts, so we're just hoping everything comes right back to us," says Scott Rikkers, JMU's Assistant Director of Bands.
The Royal Dukes will be representing Harrisonburg and McDonnell's youngest daughter, who is a student at James Madison University.
