Valley farmers say the snow and the cold weather make just about everything more difficult for them.
Dairy farmers, in particular, have to worry about keeping their cows warm, safe, and comfortable.
With over a foot of snow on the ground, farmers spend a lot of time shoveling and plowing so that they can get to and care for the animals.
"The snow has created a lot of extra work for us. We've been almost full time since Friday when the snow started. We've been pushing the snow to try and get the milk trucks in and out, the feed trucks in and out, and us in and out too," says Dan Myers, a Dairy Farmer with Walkup Holsteins Farms.
Myers says for them, it's important to keep the cows comfortable because comfy cows produce more milk.
