Gobblers Going to State Title Game

The Broadway boys' run through the AA Division 4 playoffs will continue in Saturday's state championship game.

The Gobblers advanced with a 65-60 win over Courtland in Wednesday's semifinals.

Broadway built a ten-point lead after one quarter, and expanded that lead to 16 at halftime.

The Cougars got as close as four late in the fourth quarter. But the Gobblers shot seven-of-ten at the free throw line in the game's final minute to clinch the win.

Broadway will face Potomac Falls, the team that ended Spotswood's season in Tuesday's semifinal, for the state title at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Siegel Center in Richmond.
