Five Waynesboro businesses have fallen victim to break-ins or attempted break-ins.

Five Waynesboro businesses have fallen victim to break-ins or attempted break-ins.

The Waynesboro Police Department says four of the businesses were targeted between 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday morning. The fifth incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

There were also four vehicles broken into Saturday.

An unknown suspect(s) entered through the unlocked back door of Annese Martial Arts, stealing a camera, four samurai swords and an undisclosed amount of money.

The back door of Weaver's Flooring was pried open and some cash taken.

Police say someone tried to get into Healthy Habbits, but the person(s) failed and nothing was taken. The same happened at HQ 4 Hair.

The back door of King Photo was also pried open and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

The first two vehicles on Crafton Avenue were broken into between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Saturday. They were both unlocked.

Police say an iPod with a car converter was taken and gas was siphoned off the tank. Nothing was taken from the second vehicle, though police say it was ransacked.

The other two vehicles on 14th Street and Pine Avenue were broken into between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The windows on both vans were broken. A purse containing credit cards and money was taken from one, and another purse containing money, a checkbook, credit and gift cards was taken from the other.
