A Waynesboro man, injured by a monster truck at the John Paul Jones Arena over the weekend, is now listed in fair condition.
Eyewitnesses say the man, who was an emcee for the event, was standing in the middle of the arena Friday night when he was run over by a monster truck.
They say the crowd went silent while rescue crews took him off the floor on a stretcher.
A friend of the victim says the man's pelvis was broken by the giant rubber tires.

Thank GOD this man is going to be okay. Seeing it happen was just horrifying. Monster Truck shows should NOT be held at JPJ anymore. There is not enough room at this venue for this type of show. They need to be outdoors on dirt. Not inside on concrete. The safety of all those in the show was compromised. GOD bless this man and his family and for his continued recovery.

The man was standing in corner of arena where trucks were parked not in middle of arena. The truck that was parked beside where this man was standing was just announced to enter his competion when this freak accident happened. Hope for a full recovery for this mans family.
