Waynesboro City Council member Frank Lucente says the Tourism Director position is a critical position the council plans on filling as soon as possible.

The city has already started the advertising process for the position.

Lianne Crookshanks left the job Friday, after holding it for nine years.

There is no official word on why she resigned.
