Family members of the victim of a fatal crash in Harrisonburg Friday night are still waiting for new details in the investigation.
Sabino Nolasco was fatally struck by a car on Reservoir Street.
Relatives believe he left to go fishing and was heading back home when the accident happened.
They say Nolasco lived in Harrisonburg for 19 years, worked at Cargill, and loved soccer and helping others in need.
"I know a couple of young guys that he took in his house to help them look for work and get a head start in their life, and help them get independent. Basically like, almost all those guys, myself and some of those guys used to call him just like the guardian angel," says Shyakyra Lithz, Nolasco's nephew.
The family is still waiting to hear why the accident occurred.
Relatives are planning Nolasco's funeral this week.
