A man from Northern Virginia has been sentenced for his role in a deadly crash on Interstate 81 last summer.
Pawandeep Singh of Reston pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to two years behind bars for two counts of misdemeanor reckless driving.
The charges were reduced from felony involuntary manslaughter with a vehicle as part of a plea deal.
Last July, Singh was driving a tractor trailer through Shenandoah County. He hit a Honda and killed two brothers from Texas.
The Honda became stuck underneath a tractor trailer in front of it and the vehicles caught fire.
Singh was also charged with inattention because traffic had been backed up by another crash on the interstate.
