After the Rockingham County's most wanted list was released Tuesday, one suspect is already under arrest with the help of information from the public.
The sheriff's office may also have enough information to put another suspect on that list behind bars. Credible information has been received and the office is working with other agencies to pinpoint the location of that second person.
So far, they say this new list is a success. People on the list are suspects who have outstanding warrants out for their arrest in Rockingham County. The sheriff's office decided to start this list to try to catch them.
"This was something that we could put on our web page that would be mutually beneficial to the people in the community and apprehending these persons, as well as helping us to serve these outstanding warrants on these persons," says Harrisonburg Police Sgt. Felicia Glick.
The sheriff's office hope residents will check the website often and with the help of the public and the media, more suspects will be arrested.
After about two weeks the sheriff's office will take the captured person's information off of the website, and replace it with a new person.
