HARRISONBURG, Va -- Each day this week at James Madison University they had a different topic on how to stay safe and healthy.
Students worked with JMU Public Safety and Saferides to set up Thursday's event. They had an informtion table with drunk goggles to show students how dangerous it can be while drinking.
Earlier this week they taught students about pedestrian safety, after a JMU student was killed while walking in front of a bus last year.
"Students you know sometimes they lose perspective on what's really important and you know your personal, emotional, and physical well-being are paramount, besides your family and what have you, and then it's academics," said Andrew Luethke, a JMU student.
The group also taught students about emotional health with the university's counseling center.
