Virginia State Police say a 55-year-old man was skimmed by a pickup truck in Stuarts Draft February 4. Police say the man was riding a bicycle on Stuarts Draft Highway when the side mirror of a passing truck struck his arm, and the mirror broke off the truck. The bicycle rider was not seriously hurt, but police say the truck kept driving.

Staunton Police are also involved in a hit-and-run investigation that stretched into Augusta County. Police say a driver hit something on Frederick Street Monday night. That driver, Steven Allen Sager, was pulled over later that night on Interstate 64 after deputies say they caught him speeding. He was also charged with DUI.

Deputies in Rockingham County report that someone stole four 100-foot welding leads from a home in Elkton. The leads were in the back of a truck and are worth a total of $2,500.

A couple of Harrisonburg businesses report that someone vandalized their buildings. A broken window was found at Harrisonburg Chiropractic Monday morning, and at Hajoca Corporation Tuesday morning.

Augusta County deputies report that someone stole some false teeth from inside a vehicle in Verona last week. The car was parked on Mill Stone Drive.

Deputies in Shenandoah County say someone stole two complete sets of state quarters from a home on Clary Road. The quarter collection was reported missing February 4.

If you have any information about these investigations, call your local police department or sheriff's office.

Hey, Why Minimize a crime ? That vehicle that " skimmed " the bicycle rider on Feb 4 hit me from behind, doing 55 MPH ! This happened at 7:58 PM on Friday night between Shalom Road and Kindig Road in the southbound lane. It's a divided highway, 4 lane road. It's a MIRACLE I wasn't KILLED ! The charge is HIT AND RUN for this crime. Hitting the rider is not the worst part, not stopping is criminal. The vehicle is a 2006 or 2007 ( possibly a little older ) Chev / GMC full size pickup, or Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Avalanche. This vehicle is missing the ENTIRE passanger side mirror, not just the glass, KEEP A LOOKOUT for it PLEASE ! If you see it, get the License number, and call State Police at 1-800-552-0962 or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-322-2017 you can remain anonymous and receive a reward. Even if you know someone who has a vehicle like this and had a mirror incident since Friday Feb 4 and or who has had a repair already done, it might be important to pass this along. Thanks !
