ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- Daniel Ringgold, 64, Harrisonburg, was in court on Monday for his involvement in a car crash that killed Darlene Piotrowski, 61, Singers Glenn.
Ringgold is charged with a DUI, DWI and involuntary manslaughter.
On Monday, Ringgold said he was not drinking and did not take a breathalizer test at the scene. He did say he was taking a prescription medication that was prescribed to him. He will be back in court in April.
The crash happened between Cedar Hill Lane and Buttermilk Creek Road. State police said Ringgold was driving on Rt. 42 when he crossed the center line and hit Piotrowski.
