First Degree Murder Case Postponed to Select New Attorney

FISHERSVILLE, Va -- Jerad Ross is charged with attempted first degree murder, malicious wounding and using a firearm in a felony. You can read our original report on the shooting here: Police Search for Gun Used in Shooting

Ross was in court on Wednesday and said he wanted to see more files about his case while still in jail. He said his attorney is not working in his best interest.

The judge in the case said the attorney is court-appointed and that he works hard to represent all of his clients.

Ross had a jury trial scheduled for December, but that will be postponed while a new attorney is selected.
