First Day of Court Trial for Yeardley Love Case

The former University of Virginia Lacrosse player accused of killing his girlfriend heads to court on Monday.

It's the first day of George Huguely's murder trial. Friday was the final motions hearing. The judge ruled that graphic photos of a badly beaten Yeardley Love can be shown in court as evidence.

The Commonwealth's attorney also revealed today that Love's mother and sister will be the first witnesses to testify. It will be the first time the Love family has spoken about the death of the former UVA women's lacrosse player outside of a written statement.

Yeardley Love died on May 3: three weeks before she was set to graduate.
