HARRISONBURG--- A food drive is providing a service for those in need.
The food drive was held during Friday's Harrisonburg High School football game. The DECA Club arranged the food drive with the Salvation Army.
The food drive collected non-parishables and canned goods through the high school. The food is needed in the winter months and the Salvation Army is more than happy to be a part of the drive.
"Our goal is to get as much as we can, to help people that need it this time of year. The need keeps going up for people needing help with food and the more we can get the more people we can help," said Capt. Duane Burleigh of the Salvation Army in Harrisonburg.
Burleigh is thankful for the high school students and their continued effort to support the community.
