Students, faculty, and alumni took part in Founder's Day at Mary Baldwin College Thursday.
Lolita Healy, one of the college's most successful graduates, was the guest speaker at the event.
She took the time to talk about why giving back to the school is so important during tough economic times.
Healy says, "Mary Baldwin stays in your heart once you graduate. I am hoping as young women, and for the rest of their lives, they will be able to give back to their communities, families, and school. That's part of living a life well."
Founder's Day is one of the college's most sacred traditions, where seniors receive their caps and gowns for the first time.
