STAUNTON, Va.--Pest control businesses are seeing more customers as the weather warms up.

Valley Termite and Pest Control Manager Todd Stanley said ants are common during warm weather. He said after it rains termite swarms may be the biggest problem.

At his business, he said employees started getting calls for service as early as March, most of them for wasps, spiders and ants.

He said someone can have a pest problem, if for example you see four or five wasps a day at your home.

However, if you just see them occasionally, it may not be as serious.

In the past years ants have been the main problem.

"People have gone through the winter, haven't had that much of a problem and then all of the sudden, they have had ants crawling to the kitchen or their kids playroom or the kids beds and they want it taken care of," said Stanley.

If you think you may have a pest problem, you can visit pestworld.org to look at the type of bug you may be dealing with.
