A James Madison University student government executive is facing impeachment after receiving two alcohol violations this fall.

Student Government Association Vice President of Student Affairs Brock Wallace was charged with underaged possession of alcohol and possession of an open container earlier this month.

Wallace also pleaded guilty to indecent exposure this fall for charges stemming from an incident in the Belk bathroom at the Valley Mall.

SGA President Andrew Reese says they first heard of these violations Friday.

After looking at bylaws, Reese says they asked Wallace to resign, but he declined to do so.

"It is disappointing and especially, like you said, in the wake of this alcohol image reevaluation. We preach one thing, but when our actions are doing another, it's hard, and in a sense, I feel we do lose some credibility," says Reese.

A special meeting is scheduled for Thursday night to discuss a possible investigation for impeachment.
