Some people in our area are making sure they vote. even if it's before election day.
Registered voters had the last chance to vote absentee.
An employee at the Registrar's Office in Harrisonburg said around 780 people voted in-person absentee.
To vote absentee, you have to be out of town or busy on Tuesday.
According to the Registrar, they have seen steady absentee voting.
They said about 69 people showed up to the polls on Saturday
.
Bill Vance, who will be gone most of the day on Tuesday, said it's more convenient to vote early.
"We might get back like at 5:30 or six, but I didn't have to wait in a long line that's another reason why I thought I'll just come today," Vance said.
The number of those who voted absentee by mail is still unknown.
Those ballots will be counted on election day.
