Several people in the Valley had to make a last minute run to the grocery store Wednesday night to get ready for Thanksgiving.
Shoppers at Red Front Supermarket in Harrisonburg were looking for turkeys, ham, and other holiday fixings and they were happy to escape large crowds.
"I was a little worried. I had to get some things for some stuffing and wasn't sure if there would be but (crowds). It seemed like the store was pretty well stocked," said Kimberly Hill.
"We pretty much planned ahead of time but there's always some things you missed so it's my job to go out and pick up the things we missed," said Bob Steere of Harrisonburg.
Red Front workers say they saw a steady flow of shoppers all day.
