HARRISONBURG, Va.-- The Libertarian candidate for governor Robert Sarvis talked to a dozen of neighbors in Court Square on Wednesday.

Sarvis said his top issues are job growth and the economy.

He wants to make it easier for companies to enter the marketplace. He said education is also a priority. Therefore, he would like to increase school choices.

Sarvis said he still needs to create more awareness of his campaign. However, he thinks he has a good chance of winning.

"People don't like the fact that there have been a lot of scandals, that there has been an increases in government both at the state level and federal level," said Sarvis. "They don't like the contusing tax increases, the failure to prioritize government spending. So there are a variety of reasons why people are ecstatic to see a third party candidate."

Sarvis will be at the Rockingham County fair on Friday.
