HARRISONBURG-- Plenty of people in the valley tried their luck at the Powerball Jackpot lottery. At the Exon off Port Republic Rd., gas was still over $3:00 a gallon on Wednesday morning, but inside the talk was all about $500 million, which was the projected jackpot at that time.

Kathy and Lisa work at the store there, and were busy selling lottery tickets. Customers were lining up to get them, with some even promising to share in the winnings with the duo. The store sold more than 400 tickets on Tuesday night in preparation for Wednesday's big drawing.
