BRIDGEWATER, Va -- This year, 26 people have died from West Nile Virus, and more than a dozen of those deaths occurred in Dallas. Earlier this week, the mayor of Dallas declared a state of emergency.
Now, a company from the Valley is on the way to Texas to help fight the mosquito-borne virus.
Dynamic Aviation, based in Bridgewater, is sending crews to spray insecticide from the air over the city. The company's CEO said they are just answering the call for help.
“We are very honored to be in a position where when there are public health emergencies or any emergency that could require some kind of an aviation response. We're always honored to be part of the fight, part of the response,” said CEO Michael Stoltzfus.
