STAUNTON -- Good neighbors at Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant came together to support the families of two teenagers injured in an Augusta County car accident.

Restaurant workers hoped to donate as much as they could to help the families of the two victims.

David Fitzgerald and Dalton Hinkle were flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center more than a week ago after being thrown from a car.

Employees at the restaurant said Fitzgerald should leave U.Va. for rehabilitation soon. They said Hinkle is still in a coma.

Nickie Digrassie, Mrs. Rowe's business manager, knows family members of both teenagers and that was why she said restaurant workers wanted to help out.

“It's a community. The community wants to rally behind them, give them as much support as possible, help out in any way that we can, and I think by having this fundraiser, them seeing the amount of people that will come out, the amount of money donated, that they're not in this alone,” said Digrassie.

Members of the Augusta Fire-Rescue Squad ate at Mrs. Rowe's. They responded to the crash and wanted to support the families. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
