Mary Baldwin College will branch out into Augusta County. The school announced it's site on Monday. The new school will be located in Fishersville.
The thirty acre campus will house Mary Baldwin's new graduate-level Health Sciences program. Those with the school say the Goose Creek location was chosen because of its close proximity to many clinical sites: including Augusta Health.
University leaders believe they made the right choice.
"Lots of people and officials really spent a lot of time to make sure people had good opportunities to choose from and I think it's just going to be an inspiring location," said Crista Cabe, a spokesperson for the college.
Cabe also said continued development in the area played a role in the selection. The project is expected to be completed by 2014.
