HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Friday night, several parking spaces in Harrisonburg were turned into temporary public parks.
"The idea for like Parklet is sort of like an environment, taking parking spots and making sort of green spaces," said John Henry who designed a sandbox filled with glitter.
"That's what you get when you bring art into the public realm and re-imagine what public space can be, is you get awe and wonder and surprise and lots of glitter," said Michael Weaver, who is a member of the Arts Council of the Valley.
