Project 3 Supports New Engineering Lab at Elementary School

One thousand dollars is on it's way to a Valley school to help with a new engineering lab. "Project 3" gave a $1000 grant today to Mountain View Elementary School.

"Project 3" is a partnership involving TV-3, local businesses, and area schools. The company "Recycle Management" made the donation, and chose the winner.

The money will buy more supplies for the new engineering lab that focuses on science, technology, engineering and math.

"So this lab will be a place that their class can come to work on projects, hands-on projects that are related to both what they're studying in class but also in creating and instilling in them the skills of problem solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills," said Heather Cherry, a teacher at Mountain View Elementary.
