STAUNTON, Va -- Thanks to a club in Staunton, you can put an ornament of the historic Sears Hill Bridge on your Christmas tree.
Proceeds from the ornament's sale will go toward giving scholarships to young ladies. This is the 19th year the Staunton Augusta Junior Women's Club has sold ornaments.
They chose the Sears Hill Bridge this year because of its return to the city.
Hilary Quesenberry is a member in the club and she said they choose a different icon every year.
“We like to pick different, big ideas that are going on in downtown Staunton right now, and this is the big deal,” said Quesenberry, “With the Sears Hill Bridge coming back in, it is a historic landmark, and it's great to be able to celebrate that with them, as well as to be able to give back to the community in which it is.”
