The Registrar's Office in Harrisonburg wants to make this election as easy as possible for voters.

They said they don't want last minute concerns to keep people away from the polls.

Harrisonburg Registrar Debbie Logan said some people have had trouble finding their records on the State Board of Elections Website.

"Most of the students that have called in here are registered and they have been unable to find their name on the Virginia voter list but they're registered," Logan said.

She says if you're unsure if you're registered, call your local office.

"Call here, find out that you're registered so we can tell you to go to the right place to vote," she said.

The polling place is listed on your voter registration card.

Logan said some students contacted them telling them they didn't get a card.

"Most of them the reason is that when they filled out their applications they did not give us a P.O. Box. They gave us the 800 s. Main street and the name of their dorm," she said.

But she said even if you don't have one, you won't be turned away, if you have other forms of I.D.

She said at the polls they can show a student ID, driver's license or a utility bill.

"They don't need to worry about that because they don't need the voter card to come vote," Logan said.

Another concern is the wait time on Tuesday.

Harrisonburg Electoral Board Chair Sandra Price-Stroble said they don't anticipate long lines.

"We have twice as many officers lined up to work at this election than we did four years ago. We have seven precincts versus four years ago during the presidential, we have five precincts," Price-Stroble said.

She said there will be shorter lines even if it's busy because there are fewer registered voters in each precinct.
