HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- Don't worry about the emergency teams though. Their units won't be responding to an actual emergency.

The city is hosting what they're calling a training exercise at the school.
It starts on Aug.4 at 8 a.m.

These exercises are held to test skills, knowledge, and training of first responders so they're fully prepared for large scale events when they do happen.

Members from the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, James Madison University Police, Bridgewater Police Department, Harrisonburg Fire Department, Harrisonburg Rescue Squad, and Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center will also be involved in the training.
