A Rockingham County bridge between Route 11 and Kiser Road is closed.
The Virginia Department of Transportation closed it on Tuesday. The bridge crosses over the North River on Route 727.
Its closing may particularly affect those that live near Airport Road.
VDOT Engineer Rex Pearce says it is closed because of structure damage after a vehicle hit it.
VDOT is currently evaluating repair options. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
