WEYERS CAVE-- The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport is getting ready to add its service to Orlando. Starting on Tuesday, people will be able to fly directly to and from Florida on Frontier Airlines.

Since the announcement of the addition in August, crews at the airport have been putting in a lot of work to get it all set up. It's been a busy few weeks with Tuesday's first takeoff right around the corner. Passengers will see some differences if they are headed out there on Tuesday.

The first thing people will notice is in the parking lot. There will be about 100 new parking spaces. There have also been some changes in the passenger terminal to help with passengers' bags. Some new jobs were created to help out as well..

Airport Manager Greg Campbell said so far the flights have been selling pretty well and they are anticipating more people will be in the airport everyday."This is a major milestone in terms of air service, a development for the airport and for the region and the community, not only for our residents here being able to get south, but also introducing our community to those in Florida that may be looking for a vacation destination. We can help promote the tourism in this region as well," Campbell said.
