HARRISONBURG---A public conversation was held to discuss Iranian culture and politics.
The discussion was intended to be informal and friendly. Speakers Seyed Amir Akrami and Shakouri Rad intend to create a dialogue that will remove the culture barrier between American and Islam lifestyles. Tonight, the speakers talked on the recent Presidential elections in Iran.
"This kind of talk and conversation and discussion help people from a western audience to understand eastern countries and particularly Iran hopefully in a better way," said Akrami.
The speakers will be speaking about once a month at the common grounds coffee shop at eastern mennonite university. The discussions are open to the public.
The speakers are available for public forums, and can be scheduled through Ed Martin of EMU at 540-432-4287.
