Summer Reading Program Keeps Kids Involved in Academics

HARRISONBURG, Va.-- Here in the Valley there are programs to keep your kids brains staying active. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County offers a summer literacy program free to kids in the area.

One mom we talked with, Zanetta Ford, tells us she's thankful for this program that allows her daughter and son to both have time to keep up with their reading, fluency and comprehension.

The program is funded by the United Way.
