PAGE COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- Three men are facing charges in connection with two stolen vehicles and multiple break-ins to businesses.

They face charges in multiple jurisdictions, including Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties.

Clay Lucia Jr., Joseph Pearce and Raymond Shifflett are being held in Page County Jail.

Pearce and Shifflett have been charged with motor vehicle theft.

Sheriff John Thomas said they are interviewing more people possibly involved and more charges are coming.

The sheriff said the two vehicles are so far down the mountain that a wrecker hasn't been able to recover them yet.

"There's an overlook there that actually was cut out. The vehicles were actually something put on them and they basically were shot over the side of the mountain and landed down, one in the top of the trees and fell out. They're a long way down there," said Thomas.

He thinks that the enormous spike they've seen in thefts will come to an end.

A search warrant has been issued on Grove Road in Luray, but because the investigation is ongoing they didn't reveal the evidence they found.
