NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (AP) -- Virginia's Natural Bridge Zoo has two more members of its giraffe family.

Media outlets report twin giraffes were born at the zoo on Friday.

Zookeeper Debbie Mogensen said she didn't know the mother was carrying twins and that the births come as a surprise.

Zoo worker Charissa Sangster said the mother is older, and employees initially thought she was going to have one big baby giraffe.

The latest giraffes are yet to be named and stand nearly 6 feet tall.

Another zoo giraffe is expected to give birth in August.
