UPDATE: Two Dead In Augusta County Crash

At 6:45 A.M., Virginia State Police was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Route 262, between Routes 252 and 254, in Augusta County on Monday, August 19.

A 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling north on Route 262 when it crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2011 Chevrolet Sierra pickup truck. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn onto its side.

The driver of the Equinox, 23 year old James M. Bibb, of Barboursville, Va., died at the scene.

The driver of the Sierra pickup truck, 56 year old John D. Seale Jr., of Millboro, Va., died at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.

Two people are dead after a crash on Woodrow Wilson Parkway on Monday morning, according to the Augusta Co. Sheriff's Office.

The crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV. It was a head-on crash, according the Sheriffs Office. Both drivers were men, both were wearing their seat belts.

The crash happened in between Middlebrook Rd. and the Parkersburg Turnpike. Multiple lanes are closed as emergency crews are doing a reconstruction of how the accident happened.
